When you started into ministry, you were responding to Jesus’ love and invitation to follow him.
You joyfully obeyed his call, eager to bring his love, hope, healing, and grace to the world, through word and deed.
But along the way…
conflict
grief
the endless logistics of Sunday mornings
the weight of others' despair
the reality of brokenness in the world
-and in yourself-
…have robbed you of much of your joy.
You’re fighting
hopelessness
cynicism
numbness
exhaustion
despair
Jesus is inviting you into his rest.
Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me - watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly. Matthew 11:28-30
At Athghin we long to be an embodied extension of Jesus’ invitation to return to our first love, to sit once again at His feet, walk with him, work with him, and rediscover the joy of His presence with us.
WELCOME
Athghin (pronounced “Ah‑Hin”) is a center for spiritual formation and regeneration for those called to be ministers of the Gospel and outposts of hope.
We exist to help pastors, missionaries, and spiritual leaders return to their first love, Jesus, and grow in the capacity to love with heart, soul, mind, and strength. We long to be a community of sanctuary and regeneration as we receive and participate in the love of God through beauty, hospitality, and community.
A community renewed, restored, and sent out by the presence, beauty, and grace of Jesus.
Our Vision
To build a spiritual formation center that invites others into practicing the love of Jesus through Christ‑centered community, generous hospitality, and the cultivation of beauty.
Our Mission
Athghin seeks to offer an embodied environment of sanctuary and regeneration that can only be found in Jesus.
Here, everyone who comes is invited to receive and to participate, like the inhale and exhale of life in the Spirit.
We practice rhythms that re‑train attention and affection toward the Trinity’s presence in our daily lives: cultivating beauty, sharing generous hospitality, and living in intentional community.
In this shared life, we rediscover the nearness of Jesus, learn to work alongside him under his “light and easy yoke”, and are sent back as people of hope.
Our core values
Beauty
We gaze upon and cultivate beauty as an encounter with the presence
of Jesus and a participation in his restoration of the world.
We mirror God’s welcome by making space at the table, feasting together with friends and strangers, and receiving every guest as a gift.
Hospitality
We live in and invite others into a residential, rhythm‑shaped life with daily practices of prayer, work, and mutual submission that
form us in love.
